The want is right in front of her, laid out mockingly in front of her eyes every single day. The sign of the open road, rather it be littered with stars, or traffic. Rather the winds rolling in her hair, or rain down her face. The road heads off into a direction of SOMEWHERE else, and really thats always ever been enough.
There are a lot of words, and money and consequences that hold her back like chains around her ankles, and wrists forcing her to stay. But the ties are making her skin raw- and somehow reasons not settling to well with her.
She never had a hand to hold, not at seventeen, and not now at almost 22 either. She just bawls her hands into fists to close the gaps, because the painful truth of it is- shes always been alone.
And thats because she doesnt fit anywhere else. To corrupt, or not corrupted enough. Now shes determined she doesnt need anyone to hold her hand for this journey. Shell take what she can in her car, take her beautiful two year old daughter and deal with the paperwork and technicalities when she gets wherever it is shes going.
She just hopes in her heart its not just another dream. Another stupid wish where her backbone ought to be, and if it is- she might as well just tie the noose around her neck herself.
